Detoxification Services

Safe, medically monitored detoxification is provided under the care of the Medical Director or attending physician. Nursing Care is provided in accordance with Texas HHSC regulatory guidelines. Emphasis is on safe medical detox and collaborative care with identified physicians, family members or support. Sobriety Matters believes in making the detoxification process as pain free as possible. The medical staff works individually with each person to ensure this process is the most comfortable experience. Sobriety Matters is a sub-acute detoxification facility. Clients who have complex medical or psychiatric needs or meet exclusionary criteria for admission shall be referred to a facility that provides acute care services. Nursing staff are immediately engaged at delivering care and counseling staff begins the treatment process by conducting brief individual sessions. Treatment materials are available when the client is feeling better and able to complete assignments. This phase of treatment usually lasts three to five days. Complex cases or those with significant medical diagnoses will extend the detoxification process. Clients are seen daily by a physician or nurse practitioner. Medical and clinical staff will recommend the next level of care. We offer collaborative care with other treatment providers to support the best outcomes.
